The Optical Termination Outlet – OTO₂ marks the end of the operator’s network. Mounted at the entrance of the dwelling, usually on a wall or inside the communications cabinet.
The OTO₂, kit offers the advantage of a factory pre-connected optical terminal outlet for fast, easy subscriber hookups. On the other end of the cable, the Kevlar is braided into a loop for easy pulling through to the distribution box outside each dwelling or the aerial distribution box (ADB). This cable comes on a 100% recyclable cardboard low-friction reel designed to offer installers greater comfort and convenience.
The design of the OTO₂ separates the mounting holes from the cable coiling and splicing area, making it very easy to use. The base of the enclosure is where the mounting holes and cable routing and anchoring guides are located. All of the fibre optic components are located in the cassette. This makes it less likely to damage fibres when mounting the outlet. And, since you can unclip the cassette from the base, accessing the fibre-optic connections later is easy if needed.
You can mount the Optical Termination outlet using double-sided adhesive tape, and screw it onto a wall. Install it in a flush-mount wall box, or clip onto a DIN rail. And, with five cable routing options, the outlet is simple to install along a baseboard, on a wall, or in a flush-mount wall box.
