Pluggable Optical transceivers for 100G Ethernet and SFP28 32G FC modules.
The QSFP28 transceivers are designed for high-capacity 100G Ethernet. These transceivers are a popular choice for Data Center Interconnect (DCI). It is a new form factor defined in SFF Committee specifications SFF-8636 and SFF-8665. With the capability of four data lanes (quad) in the single module, QSFP28 provides 100Gbps or 128Gbps aggregated data speed. The Smartoptics QSFP28 pluggable optical transceivers can also be combined with our DCP suite of open line systems and ROADMs and with modular transponders and muxponders to improve flexibility for metro, regional and long-haul applications. They are ideal for 100 Gigabit Ethernet, EDR InfiniBand, or 32G Fibre Channel networks.
QSFP28 DAC and AOC
QSFP28 Direct Attach Copper (DAC) cables provide a complete cable assembly instead of discrete components for short-distance connectivity. The QSFP28 Active Optical Cables (AOCs) are also complete cable assemblies but use real transceivers and are suitable for longer distances.
